The Federal Government’s Department of Employment and Workplace Relations has updated its Traineeship Incentives Program, now including the Certificate III in Community Pharmacy, Certificate IV in Community Pharmacy and the Certificate IV in Community Pharmacy Dispensary.
Act Now: While these changes are currently in place, the Federal Government may update this list at any time. We encourage you to promptly assess your team members’ eligibility to secure these incentives before any potential adjustments.
Incentive Highlights:
- For Employers: Incentives of up to $5,000.
- For Employees: Additional incentives of up to $5,000 for those undertaking the qualification.
- Good News: Eligibility is unaffected by age or previous experience in the sector.
Eligibility Criteria:
Your team members may be eligible if they:
- Are an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or New Zealand Citizen.
- Are employed or can transition to Part-Time or Full-Time roles.
- Do not hold a Certificate IV in Community Pharmacy or Community Pharmacy Dispensary (achieved in the last 7 years).
(Note: Qualified pharmacists and business partners are not eligible.)

- Complete the Eligibility Review Form for each eligible team member in your workplace.
