Food Safety Supervisor

Overview
Our Food Safety Supervisor course is a short course covering following a food safety program, storing and handling food safety, maintaining personal hygiene, equipment and work areas. This course covers the food safety supervisor compliance requirements for some States and Territories across Australia. This course is ideal for people who are working closely with raw or cooked food products across a range of retail food businesses.
Training Overview
Course Delivery
This course is delivered using our online Axcelerte portal. Students are provided with 60 days access to the portal to complete the required training and assessment. Course extensions are available at $50 per four week period. There are no physical or scheduled training workshops for this course, all training is completed in the online portal. Training
Training for this course is completed by:
- Reviewing and engaging in our Learner Guide that contains detailed readings and videos.
- Completing the learning log. This log supports you to practice the required skills in your workplace before undertaking assessment.
Assessment
Assessment for this course is completed by:
- The completion of written short answer questions and checklists
- Your workplace supervisor completing a supervisor report confirming you have practiced the skills in the workplace
- Completing a 30 minute workplace observation via Zoom with your Trainer. During this session, your Trainer will ask you to complete a range of workplace tasks and they’ll be assessing your performance at work.

All course resources are provided in our Axcelerate portal. Our course is 100% paperless providing you with 24/7 access to course content.
Entry Requirements
Entry into this qualification is available for individuals:
- An Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, New Zealand citizen or eligible visa holder
- Able to read and write in English
- Able to use a computer and internet without assistance
- Who have regular access to a computer/tablet and strong internet connection
- Work in a food handling role in a workplace that has the required facilities and equipment
